All kids love trains. It started years ago with "The Little Engine that Could and evolved to "Thomas the Train." Trains themes make great parties. You can find loads of decorations on the market to fit your Toddler Train party theme. And the kids will love them.
You can purchase invitations that are shaped like a train and appropriate for the specific train theme you have in mind. Even old-fashioned steam engines make a fascinating setting and theme for little ones who are filled with imagination. You do not need to go overboard on the decorations for a train themed party in order to get the theme apart but there are some great goody bags that can be made in keeping with the theme. A train pinata is a great way to get the kids in on the action and having a great time. You may also choose to have all the little ones dress up as a train engineer for a little interactive fun with your train birthday party idea. You can also choose to play a DVD of your favorite train story for the entertainment of the little ones and in hopes of a little bit of quiet time before the sugar induced highs of after cake time.
You'll have no problem finding the perfect cake. There are plenty of cake forms and themes that will fit your party. After you have served that perfect cake with ice cream, head on out to the pinata. The kids will all take turns whacking it until it breaks. You can get pinatas at your party supply shop, along with all the train theme decorations and goody bag fillers.
When you're planning your goody bags, you'll be glad you've chosen this theme. Train goody bags are easy to fill. Puzzles, Whistles, story books, stickers and coloring books all go well in goody bags. Sending goody bags home with your guests is a great way to thank them for coming to your party.
If you'd like to add something really unique to the party, try and find a train museum or a train car where you can host your party. This makes a really special memory for all the children. In some cities you can find trains that run short day trips. This makes a thrilling party experience and you can change your theme to "The Great Escape". Of course, if you do this type of party, it will even work well for older kids. Just remember, you'll have to plan another party next year...and this one is going to hard to top. |

For over a hundred years now, clambakes have made outdoor parties more fun and enjoyable, thanks to the Native Americans who introduced it. They are more popularly known as New England clambakes. And, with the holiday season about to arrive, this great idea for an outdoors party with friends and loved ones would surely make it more exciting.
Originally, clambakes were prepared in a pit wherein a layer of stones are placed on the bottom of it. And on top of these very hot stones, a layer of potatoes, live lobster, clams, and corn husks were laid with fresh seaweed separating the layers.
In order to cook the fresh vegetables and seafood, Native American natives would have a huge fire above the stones and when the fire was reduced to hot ash, they would then start placing the seafood on top of these stones.
There are lots of places where you can get fresh seafood for your planned clambake. There are basically two kinds of clambakes, the standard clambake and the super deluxe clambake wherein shellfish, mussels, shrimp, and other fresh seafood are added. Both of these kinds have clam chowder, lobster bisque, and other supplies needed to serve with the clambake.
The super deluxe clambake for Christmas is typically for bigger gatherings as it has more types of seafood and many partygoers will be able to find something they would like to feast on. With this type, you will be assured that you will never run out of food.
Modern cooking methods have replaced the old fashion preparation of the clambake. Now, clambakes are cooked on the stove, or on the grill. If you have a fire pit, you can cook your clambake there. Clambakes are a wonderful way to throw an outdoor party, and are more fun while camping. As an added bonus, outside cooking means minimal clean up.

It is true to say that most people would like a long life with good health. In order to achive this, you have to keep your body in a good condition. There is a new age revolution going on that means a lot more people reach the age of 85 with not much trouble.Quite a few people are living past the 100 year mark.
What gets the credit for this statistic? Many of us not only want to live longer, we want to live healthier lives in which to enjoy the longevity of them. There are some simple things that you can do that will help you to live longer.
Start by checking where you are at right now by going to the doctor and have a physical exam.Nobody likes this but it will tell you if there are any problems and the doctor will be able to advice as to what to do about it.
Keep active and do something. Your retirement is not a holiday. Becoming a volunteer; this is important.Make a list of what you like to do and find somewhere, that you can do it. Not only will this help you but you will have the joy of helping others as well.Do this on regular basis
When you make a mistake; do not see it as a failure, but learn from them and laugh at them. Having a sense of humor will help you to live longer.
Get yourself a listening ear. Whether it be a close friend or a member of your clergy, having someone to vent your problems out on can help keep you from bottling them in and stressing out about them. Plus, having someone that you can share your problems with can help you to get a fresh perspective and find solutions. Keep your mind sharp with some sort of daily mental exercise. If you get the newspaper, try filling out the daily crossword. If not, other puzzles and games can help keep your mind working. Remember, the brain is like a muscle - if you do not use it, you will lose it!
Consider getting a furry or feathered companion. It has long been common knowledge that pets are great stress relievers and can help you live longer. Plus some pets, like dogs, can help get you moving outdoors and get some of that daily exercise that everyone needs.
